BackupCheck is a Windows application that checks that all the files in one directory are stored somewhere in or below another directory and lets you simply copy over the ones that are not. Don't lose any of your precious data, just because you rearranged your folders and forgot to backup a few files. After a (succesfull) recovery when two HDD's broke down at the same moment I am reconsidering my backup strategy. I have a 6 bay Readnas Pro, running OS6, volumes setup JBOD, as my main NAS, and a 4 bay NV+ V1 as backup machine. After initial backup via NFS I now backup daily with rsyn. The HFS Backup & Archive Services Portal gives a great deal of detail and is the recommended method of checking your backup status. If you select a node name you will be taken to the Node Details page for that node.
